Music Lessons

All children in KS2 can take private music lessons throughout the school day and children can progress through graded examinations. You will need to pay for tuition for the term in advance. We have two providers who provide alternative approaches and musical styles to teaching. See tab regarding Instrument hire - there are instruments you may borrow from school.

Hertfordshire College of Music

HCM is one of the largest and most successful independent contemporary music schools in the UK. Children have the opportunity to be tutored in a range of musical instruments such as guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums following the Rock School programme of tuition and exams. Tuition is usually in half hour lessons with 2 or 3 students being taught together. 20 minute individual lessons are also available Costs range from £11 - £15 per week.

Tuition fees are paid for the term in advance directly to HCM.

If you would like to find out more, please call HCM on 01920 460646.

Instruments can be hired from HCM too from around £10 a month.

If you have been considering music tuition and want to see what lessons would be like before you commit, HCM may be able to arrange for your child to have a free taster lesson - please enquire.
